Vietnam discount visa fees for foreigners
From 23rd November of 2015, Vietnam will reduce the single-entry visa to 25 USD instead of the current 45 USD, three months-entry visa also cost 50 USD. However, 3-6 months-entry and 6-9 months-entry fees do not change and still cost 95 USD ad 135 USD in turns. The fee for one to two years visa is 145 USD and foreigners will have to pay 155 USD visa fee from two to five years.
Vietnam also provide free-visa for countries: Japan, South Korea, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Russia, Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and the Philippines.
The purpose of reducing visa fees as mentioned above is to encourage tourism development. Besides, tourists who travel to Vietnam then go to Laos, Cambodia… then return to Vietnam will cost 5 USD instead of the current 45 USD.
