Chinese visitors to Nha Trang, Phu Quoc increasing

According to Nguyen Van Tuan, General Director of Tourism, the last months of the year, international visitors to Vietnam are growing again.

Chinese visitors to Vietnam in October were more than 175,000 arrivals, up 16% from the previous month and 22% over the same period last year. The beach resorts such as Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc will be the focus of this tourist and will increase strongly in the coming period.

Tourists coming from the European market are exempt from visa also began to rise. Russian passenger traffic declined from last year but this year there has been a recovery. Russian companies are increasingly providing access to Vietnam. India markets and the ASEAN countries are also positive changes.

"If the previous month, international visitors to negative 11%, this month only negative 4.1% compared with the same period last year. This is a good sign for the tourism industry in our country," Mr.Tuan said.


In the past 3 months, the tourism industry has made efforts to promote in key markets such as Europe, China. "We went through a very difficult time, the decline of international visitors is a challenge but we have overcome. Hope tourism industry will enter a new cycle, strong growth in 2016 ", the General Director of Tourism Authority said.
